전환단어, 즉 접속사 활용하는 방법

접속사(transitions)란? 접속사(transition words)란 하나의 내용에서 다른 내용으로 넘어갈 때 문장을 자연스럽게 연결해주는 단어로, 문장, 독립 절 및 단락의 시작 부분에 주로 배치되므로 내용 간의 구체적인 관계를 수립합니다. 접속사란 글의 흐름을 만들고 글의 논리적인 전개를 가능하게 합니다.(아래 자료 출처의 링크)

 

접속사 카테고리

 

접속사(transition words)는 네 가지 기본 카테고리로 나눌 수 있습니다:

 

  • 부가 접속사(Additive transitions): 내용을 추가하거나 참조할 것이라는 신호를 독자에게 줍니다
  • 역접 접속사(Adversative transitions): 내용 간 불일치를 나타냅니다
  • 인과 접속사(Causal transitions): 결과 및 인과 관계를 보여줍니다
  • 순차 접속사(Sequential transitions): 내용의 순서와 순차 및 글의 전체 구조를 명확하게 합니다 

부가 접속사(Additive Transitions)

 

부가 접속사(additive transitions)는 다음의 경우에 사용됩니다: 새로운 내용 추가;내용 소개 및 강조; 이전에 바로 언급한 내용 참조; 유사한 상황 추가;특정 정보를 중요하게 취급.

역접 접속사(Adversative Transitions)

 

역접 접속사는 다음의 방법으로 사실, 주장 및 기타 내용을 구별합니다: 차이점 대조 및 제시; 주장 수긍 혹은 반박; 사실 또는 논증의 중요성 일축; 대안 제시.

인과 접속사(Causal Transitions)

 

인과 접속사는 이유, 조건, 목적, 상황 및 인과 관계를 보여줍니다. 인과 접속사는 논문의 중요 논점이 확립된 후 혹은 가설적인 관계 또는 상황을 탐구하기 위해 사용됩니다.

순차 접속사(Sequential Transitions)

 

순차 접속사는 다음의 방법으로 글을 구성합니다: 연속적인 아이디어나 행동 제시; 이전에 언급된 내용 참조; 내용 전환; 결론 제시 및 논문 요약. 순차 접속사는 글의 구조를 구성하고 독자가 논문의 방법, 결과 및 분석을 통해 논리적 전개를 이해하도록 돕는데 필수적입니다.
